Delete your account
You can permanently delete your Genx account and the data associated with it at any time. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
Fastest route
In the app: Settings → Account → Delete account → confirm. The account is deleted on the spot.
1Delete from inside the app
- Open Genx on your phone.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Account.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm. For security you may be asked to enter your password again — or, if you signed in with Google or Apple, to sign in once more — to prove it is really you.
The account is deleted immediately once you confirm. There is no waiting period and no way to undo it.
2Request deletion by email
If you can no longer open the app or reach your device, email support@genx.cool from the email address you signed up with, with the subject “Delete my account”.
We verify that the request comes from the account holder and process it within 30 days. We will reply to confirm once it is done.
3What is deleted
- Your account identity — your email address, password, any Google or Apple sign-in link, your name, and your profile photo, held in Firebase Authentication.
- Account-linked service data — your hourly usage counters.
- Token balance — any unused tokens from top-up purchases. These are forfeited on deletion and cannot be restored or refunded by us; refunds are handled by Google Play or the App Store under their own policies.
All of the above is removed immediately. Nothing from this list is retained after deletion.
4What is kept, and for how long
- Your generated documents and history — never stored on our servers in the first place. They live only on your phone, and are removed when you delete them in the app or uninstall it. Deleting your account does not touch them, and uninstalling does not require deleting your account.
- Crash diagnostics — anonymous crash reports (device model, OS version, app version, stack trace) collected by Firebase Crashlytics are not linked to your account identity and are retained by Google for its standard window, currently 90 days, after which they expire automatically.
- Purchase records — held by Google Play or the Apple App Store, not by us. They are kept under the store’s own retention rules for tax and accounting purposes, and we cannot delete them on your behalf.
